Some things are so beautiful I can hardly stand it (even those created through tragedy). This burnt forest could be an Oriental scroll painting on bamboo canvas. It could be a fabric; I imagine a thin diaphanous silk.
This photograph is probably my favorite landscape right now: the detail, the particularity, the imperfection. Notice in the lower right corner, a small patch of life, in tan, the same sepia-tone as my favorite Photobooth filter.
