I don't wear rings often, because they make my fingers feel cumbersome. However I've always liked how a single "cocktail" ring looks perched below the knuckles.
The Arty ring was the only ring I liked for a long time, until I found the Planet ring.

ah love the ysl rings! I want one myself, toying with whether or not i should buy it when in new york... i think you should definitely go in for it, they are such incredible pieces of jewelry, so wonderfully made and striking, imagine what they're going to be like in 10 years! everyone will want one! (again). and no, not just for the opera i think, i would wear mine everyday. glamour for everyday, that's my little mantra i think.

I loooooove the look of the arty ring, and it's even more gorgeous in person (I got it in blue), but the metal turned my finger green so I had to sell on eBay. Sigh, isn't life a tragedy?
